Job Opening: Rakers’ Center Staff

The Maine Migrant Health Program (MMHP) is hiring a full-time (30-40 hours/week), seasonal position (approximately late July – mid-August, dates to be confirmed) as Rakers’ Center Staff; facilitating access to care and services for Maine’s migrant and seasonal farmworkers (MSFWs) and their families. Responsibilities to include: distribution of food at the Food Pantry and farmworker camps, providing referrals to clients for social services at the Intake Desk of the Rakers’ Center, and collaborating with volunteers. Work location is at the Rakers’ Center (Narraguagus High School in Harrington, Maine) during daytime hours with travel to deliver food to farmworker camps in the evenings in the DownEast region.

Ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-starter who possesses strong interpersonal skills, be detailed oriented, is committed to working with MSFWs, and be comfortable working in mobile settings. The position requires a combination of daytime and evening hours, not to exceed 40 hrs/wk. Ability to read and write in English/Spanish is required. Personal, reliable transportation required.
