Job Opening: DownEast Program Manager

Join a passionate, committed team in a dynamic health center serving vulnerable patients throughout the beautiful state of Maine. MMHP is seeking a DownEast Program Manager to support our mission to improve the health status of Maine’s seasonal workers and their families by providing culturally appropriate care and services. The DownEast Program Manager is directly responsible for oversight of enabling services programming in Washington County and the surrounding area.

For the past 25 years, the MMHP has provided health care access to migrant and seasonal farmworkers (MSFWs) throughout the state of Maine. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and federally qualified health center (FQHC), MMHP has an innovative approach to medical care that is low-barrier, values cultural competency and embraces the human dignity of an invisible and vulnerable population. MMHP’s unique model brings medical, dental and behavioral health services to patients via mobile units where they live and work and by connecting clients to local partners.

The Maine Migrant Health Program is recruiting for a new year-round, full-time position as part of our DownEast Outreach Team. The DownEast Program Manager (DE PM), based in Milbridge, Maine, is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of harvest specific programs through a combination of supervision of enabling services staff and direct services to farmworkers, and acts as a liaison between remote field staff and MMHP’s administrative office in Augusta. This is a 34 hrs/wk (.85 FTE) salaried position, and includes a generous benefits package. MMHP is an equal opportunity employer.
