The Maine Migrant Health Program, MaineGeneral and MCD Public Health are excited to offer a Community Health Worker Core Competency Training in Augusta scheduled for March 27th – 28th and April 3rd – 6th, with additional webinars to be scheduled at a later time. We will facilitate a curriculum developed by the Institute for Public Health Innovation which complies with the State of Maine’s CHW training guidelines and the Maine CDC’s forthcoming online CHW registry. We have 12 participants from our agencies and would like to recruit 8 more. Do you know of any co-workers or colleagues from your organizations who would benefit from attending? If so, please share the attached training application form and request that it be submitted to Liz Allen at email@example.com no later than March 17th.
The registration fee for the training is $100 to help cover the cost of materials and lunch. We cannot assist with providing transportation so please keep that in mind when inviting people to apply. Our expectation is that participants will attend all training sessions/days including webinars, without exception, in order to receive a certificate of completion.
